Franklin: Temperatures to reach the mid 90s by the weekend

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

One light sprinkle over the Airport around 11 p.m. Wednesday dropped .05 inches of rain.

That may be about all the rain we can expect for the next several days as dry and hot weather looks to remain in place until early next week.

That's not a bad thing as May wrapped up wet and about 4.5 inches above normal.

An upper ridge looks as though it is beginning to strengthen, which should limit even the few sprinkles we've seen.

We haven't reached 90 degrees at MSY in June, but low and some mid 90s across the region are more likely into the weekend.
