NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - During the afternoon, a few showers developed over the west bank down south to near Lafitte. These were the few lone showers with coverage less than 20 percent. We can expect the same through Friday into the weekend as an upper high stabilizes the region and will not allow widespread rain to develop.
We still need the dry out as May wrapped up wet and about 4.5 inches above normal. So far for the year, 2015 is about 11 inches above normal. We haven't reach 90 degrees at MSY in June, but low and some mid 90s across the region are more likely into the weekend.
