Low water pressure planned for French Quarter

(WVUE) - Construction will cause people who live and work on Orleans Street between Dauphine and Burgundy Streets in the French Quarter to have low water pressure.

The New Orleans Sewerage & Water Board announced the low pressure will happen on Tuesday, June 9 and again on Thursday June 11, 2015.

"Boh Brothers Construction Company will tie in service laterals and also tie in the new water main that will serve the area," according to a statement from spokesman Robert Jackson.

Part of the funding for the $184 million project to replace aging infrastructure in the city of New Orleans is provided by FEMA.
