New Orleans police seek person of interest in Mid City double shooting

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

New Orleans police are searching for a man who is a person of interest in a Mid City shooting that left two men injured. The incident occurred Saturday at 3:20 p.m. in the 3000 block of Bienville Street.

According to police, responding officers arrived on scene and found a 29-year-old man and a 32-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. EMT's rushed both men to a local hospital.

Police stress that the person of interest is not a suspect in the incident, but someone who may have critical information on the shooting. The person of interest is believed to be driving a Red 2015 Hyundai Sonata that has a Louisiana license plate reading N374376.

    The person of interest in the double-murder and bank robbery in Conway on Monday is in custody. Brandon MIchael Council was arrested in Greenville, North Carolina Wednesday, along with two other people, authorities there confirmed.  Brandon Michael Council was wanted for questioning in connection with the murder of two CresCom bank employees during a bank robbery at the CresCom Bank in Conway on Monday afternoon.
