Chris Sciambra walk-off homer lifts LSU over UL in Game One of Super Regional

BATON ROUGE, LA (WVUE) -

After giving up a ninth-inning solo home run to UL-Lafayette pinch hitter Brenn Conrad to tie Game 1 of the Baton Rouge Super Regional at three, LSU had one final chance to break the tie before extra innings.

That's when Chris Sciambra stepped up and delivered.

The senior outfielder launched a Will Bacon pitch high over the right field wall to give the Tigers a 4-3 walk-off win Saturday night.

While Sciambria's homer lifted the Tigers over the Ragin' Cajuns, it was Jake Fraley who led the way for the LSU, finishing 2-for-4 with a home run, three RBIs and a run scored.

UL-Lafayette was led by Conrad, Tyler Girouard and Evan Powell who each finished with one hit and one RBI.

Game Two is set for Sunday at 6 p.m. LSU could punch its ticket to the College World Series in Omaha with a victory.
