NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - After the hottest weekend of 2015, Monday will follow suit as we see temperatures back in the 90s.
As Tuesday approaches, we will see a transition to more showers especially during the afternoon hours.
The upper high that brought drier and hotter weather is still controlling our weather Monday but will shift westward allowing more of a return flow.
Rain coverage will greatly increase by Tuesday with about 30-40 percent coverage and more as we head toward the end of the week.
The good news is that with more rain, we will see temperatures knocked down into the upper 80s and we can clear out some of the pollen and dust in the air.
