NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Midnight is the deadline to file Gulf oil claims.
Those needing to file BP oil spill claims have until midnight to do so.
Offices were established to help individuals file claims under a legal settlement following the 2010 BP Gulf oil spill. The offices have extended their hours on Monday.
Claims may be filed in person, by phone or online.
The assistance center in Metairie will open at 8 a.m. Monday. In addition, call centers will be open from 7 a.m. through 7 p.m. Monday.
Claims administrator Patrick Juneau says he expects a spike in claims ahead of the deadline.
