Deputies pull man's body from farm pond

ST. TAMMANY PARISH, LA (WVUE) - St. Tammany Parish deputies say a man visiting a horse farm near Folsom apparently drowned in a large pond.

They responded to the call about the possible drowning Sunday just after 1 p.m. at the Clear Creek Stud Horse Farm.

Deputies say witnesses told them a 22-year-old man was swimming in the pond, but then went under water and didn't resurface.

Witnesses told investigators the man had been drinking and was a visitor to the farm.

After a brief search, deputies pulled the man's body from the bottom of the pond.

The St. Tammany Parish Coroner's Office is expected to release his identity and the cause of death.
