NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - We are seeing a transition to wetter weather over the next few days as the upper high that kept us dry and hot moves west.
Deep tropical moisture is flowing in bringing temperatures in the low to mid 80s.
Showers and thunderstorms will develop during the late morning and afternoon. Some will be slow movers and drop a lot of rain over certain areas.
Highs will not be as hot in the 84-88 range with lows in the middle 70s.
Rain chances will lower at night with the loss of daytime heating. Coastal areas will see early morning showers develop.
