HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Two men face weapons and several drug charges, after police say they found crack cocaine, marijuana, Xanax and hydrocodone in a Houma residence.
The Houma Police Department says officers were trying to execute an arrest warrant Monday for John Davis, 39, who was wanted for conspiracy to distribute heroin. When police got to the 1100 block of Academy Street, they say Davis and 31-year-old James Thomas tried to run out the back door, but other officers caught them.
Officers allegedly saw drug paraphernalia near the door and got a search warrant. They seized 80 hydrocodone tablets, Xanax tablets, 22 grams of suspected crack cocaine, five grams of suspected marijuana, digital scales and a 9 mm pistol.
Police booked Davis and Thomas with multiple charges. The men are being held at the Terrebonne Parish Jail.
