NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Mostly dry weather is holding on as we head into the late afternoon. Even with all the heat and humidity we are not seeing much in the way of vertical cloud growth so we are avoiding any big afternoon storms.
We do see just a few small areas of rain down along the coast, but not much of consequence even with the temperatures in the upper 80s near 90 in most locations. We will not be so fortunate as we head towards the weekend.
Thursday and Friday look to be much more wet days with a couple of disturbances helping to sustain shower activity each day. Shower coverage will back off for Saturday and Sunday, but we will still see some spotty storms across the area.
