Family wants answers after loved one killed in parking garage fall

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - A grieving family is desperate for answers after their loved one died when his truck plunged from the fifth floor of a CBD parking garage.

It's something Tyrone Nogess's brother says should never have happened. "We don't know what happened, however, we do know one thing is that my brother should have never, his car should have never been in the street here. It should have never exited the building," Terry Nogess said.

Nogess was killed earlier this week when his truck somehow crashed through a metal barrier, then through a parking garage window to the ground below. More than a dozen witnesses tried to help him.

New Orleans Police believe a medical emergency may have been to blame but they tell us they won't know for sure until an autopsy is done. Nogess's family says that doesn't add up.

"We don't think it was a medical issue and we need to get answers," Claude Nogess said.

Nogess was 49-years-old at the time of his death. His family says he was a hard worker, a loyal husband and a father of 4. We're told he had worked as a parking attendant for more than 30 years.
