Argument escalated to gunshots in Gentilly

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - An argument ended in gunshots Saturday morning in Gentilly.

According to NOPD, 52-year-old Michael Broussard was arguing with a 51-year-old man, a 51-year-old woman and a 63-year-old woman on June 13 around 3:28 a.m. The 51-year-old man went outside to cool off, then Broussard went into a back room and got a shotgun.

Police say Broussard fire two shots outside, then turned and shot the 51-year-old man.

Police arrested Broussard on one count of aggravated battery, two counts of aggravated assault with a firearm and three counts of false imprisonment with a weapon.
