SCHRIEVER, LA (WVUE) - Four Houma residents have been arrested for their participation in a casino robbery. The arrested include a current and a former employee of the casino.
The Jubilee Casino, located on Highway 20, was robbed on June 7 by two armed men, according to Terrebonne Parish deputies. The two men entered the store and robbed the casino of cash. Officers say the suspects fled in a white SUV.
Following an investigation, detectives say they were able to determine that an on-duty cashier helped plan the robbery. Celia Garcia, 50, assisted with the planning of the robbery, according to the Terrebonne Parish Sheriff's Office.
Garcia's sister, 39-year-old Roxelle Verdin, drove the two gunmen to the casino, deputies say.
The gunmen have been identified as Treg Westley and Latronce Harris.
All suspects were located at separate locations on Monday night and Tuesday morning, deputies say. Officers say that a portion of cash stolen from the casino was recovered during the arrests.
All suspects were charged with armed robbery with a firearm. Harris was located in Thibodaux and booked at the Lafourche Detention Center. He will be transported to Terrebonne Tuesday afternoon to await bond hearing. The other three suspects were booked at Terrebonne Parish Criminal Justice Complex where they await a bond hearing.
