Tropical Storm Bill moving inland bringing heavy rain to already saturated lands

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Tropical Storm Bill  is slightly weaker with winds of 50 mph and the center just inland near Seadrift and Victoria, Texas. Most of the heavy rain is to the east and northeast of the storm with the heaviest rain expected to move across area from north of Matagorda towards the Houston area. The heavy rain, expected to move in across areas still recovering from flooding just a couple of weeks ago, is likely to cause the main issues.

The high pressure that steered Bill west is bringing us drier and pleasant conditions. We still have an opportunity for a passing shower, but we will stay mostly dry over the next couple of days. Drier weather means warmer temperatures this time of year. Our long term average is 90 and we can expect that we will see temperatures slightly above that mark over the next couple of days.
