NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -
A few showers and thunderstorms are possible around midday and into the afternoon with daytime heating. Coverage looks to be around 20-30 percent for today and tomorrow with 20 percent Sunday and less than 10 percent next week as an upper ridge builds in.
The upper ridge will also bring about some real summertime heat with heat indices in the 105-110° range.
NWS mentions the possibility for the first Heat Advisories of the year possible next week.
Stay hydrated and out of the sun as much as possible!
