Police: K-9 finds cocaine at Houma swimming pool

HOUMA, LA (WVUE) - Houma police arrested a 17-year-old accused of having cocaine in a basket at an area swimming pool.

Just before 4:30 p.m. Thursday, investigators say an officer working security at the pool on Boundary Rd. thought he smelled marijuana near the changing area at the facility.

Officer Corey Duplantis and K-9 Faldo were sent to the scene. Police say K-9 Falko detected powder cocaine inside of a basket.

Officers say they determined the basket was for 17-year-old Huey White Jr.

They arrested him, transported him to the Terrebonne Parish Jail and booked him with possession of cocaine.
