Woman, 32, killed in Raceland crash

RACELAND, LA (WVUE) -

A 32-year-old woman is dead following an overnight crash in Raceland, Louisiana.

Agnes Rounds, of Paradise, Louisiana, is dead following the crash. The incident happened around 2:30 a.m. Monday on LA 308 in Lafourche Parish.

Police say that Rounds was traveling south on LA 308 in a 2013 Chevrolet Traverse. The vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck a ditch and a fence pole, state police say. The vehicle flipped and crashed into a parked truck.

Rounds was ejected from the vehicle, police say. She was not wearing a seat-belt.

She was transported to Ochsner St. Anne General Hospital where she later died from her injuries.

Impairment is unknown at this time and routine toxicology tests are pending. This crash remains under investigation.
