The deeper we get into June, the less likely a front will have enough push to make it down to the Gulf Coast. However, computer models are indicating that by this weekend, a weak front could approach as a deep trough develops over the eastern U.S.
That should increase our rain chances and lower our highs just a bit. We'll have to pay attention to this front as in rare cases, some tropical activity has formed along old frontal boundaries that sag into the Gulf.
