LAROSE, LA (WVUE) - Lafourche Parish deputies say a Larose woman admitted to stealing more than $12,000 from an elderly person.
Cara Dubois, 28, was arrested and booked Friday with 49 counts of forgery, two counts of theft of assets from an aged/disabled person and one count of unauthorized use of an access card as theft. The Lafourche Parish Sheriff's Office says Dubois knows the victim, who reported that her checks were stolen and cashed earlier this month. According to detectives, Dubois also made charges to the elderly woman's credit card.
A judge set Dubois' bond at $60,000.
