Woman accused in Jaren Lockhart's death, dismemberment returns to court

The woman accused in the death and dismemberment of Bourbon Street dancer Jaren Lockhart heads back to court.

Margaret Sanchez is scheduled for a status hearing Wednesday in Gretna.

The hearing was supposed to be last week, but was postponed because the murder trial for her alleged accomplice, Terry Speaks, was underway.

A jury found Speaks guilty in the killing of Lockhart on June 19.

Investigators say Speaks and Sanchez lured Lockhart away from a French Quarter club, took her to Kenner and killed and dismembered her.

Lockhart's remains washed up on a Mississippi beach in June of 2012.

Sanchez has pleaded not guilty.
