WASHINGTON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - A man was sentenced Wednesday to two life sentences plus 30 years for multiple incidents of aggravated rape and attempted aggravated rape involving three girls, then ages 10, 7, and 5.
On June 11, a Washington Parish jury found 18-year-old Bradley Jenkins, who lived just outside Bogalusa, guilty of aggravated rape for his crimes against the two older girls and attempted aggravated rape for his actions with the youngest one. An aggravated rape conviction carries a mandatory life sentence. Judge Martin Coady added the 30-year sentence for the attempted aggravated rape conviction.
All three victims testified during the trial that they were sexually abused for years by Jenkins on multiple occasions for years. The abuse came to light in August 2013 during an investigation by the Department of Children and Family Services.
