HARVEY, LA (WVUE) - A third suspect was arrested on Wednesday night following a Sunday triple shooting in Harvey that left two people dead.
The shooting happened around 10:30 a.m. Sunday (June 21) in the 1600 block of Apache Drive.
Officers say three victims were shot outside of an apartment. Two men were killed. Johnell Ovide, 23, was pronounced dead at the scene. A second victim, 21-year-old Trammell Marshall, died at an area hospital. The third victim, a 23-year-old man from Marrero, remains in critical condition.
Three suspects have been arrested in the shooting.
Deputies say Dartanya Spottsville, 27, of Marrero, turned himself in at the Jefferson Parish Correctional Center Monday afternoon. He turned himself in a short time after being named a suspect in the case.
Jacobie Green, 23, of Marrero, was interviewed later in the week and confessed to the crime, according to Jefferson Parish deputies. He was booked with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of attempted first-degree murder.
Following an interview with Green, a warrant was issued for a third suspect, 21-year-old Johnell Walker. Walker surrendered to authorities on Wednesday night. He was booked on two counts of first degree murder and one count of attempted first degree murder.
