NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Showers are developing just offshore again Thursday morning. It's typical this time of year.
We saw several individual storms cause major issues in isolated areas on Wednesday with some locations receiving 1-2 inches of rain. Some areas of Baton Rouge and Washington Parish near Franklinton saw flash flooding on Wednesday.
Look for storms to perk up again into the afternoon. The North Shore will fall under a marginal risk for severe storms later in the day. This is the lowest risk category for strong storms, but a few areas will end up with the heavy rain much like Wednesday.
The rest of us end up with partly cloudy skies and hot conditions in the 90s once again. The one good thing about the rain is that it does cool us down a bit.
