NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - The owner of Rotolo's Pizzeria will appear on "Flip My Food," a nationally televised program.
Mitch Rotolo will compete with Chef Jeff Henderson in a pizza competition that he says is guaranteed to give you an appetite.
They're making the Krewe pizza, which includes bacon, pepperoni and four cheeses. But that's not all. Henderson and Rotolo are also cooking up Andouille sausage pizzas, a baked parma rosa pasta creation with homemade alfredo sauce and a chicken pasta.
Rotolo's opened nearly two decades ago in Baton Rouge. They now have locations in the New Orleans metro area, Texas, Florida and Alabama.
"Chef Jeff" Henderson travels around the country to cook with well-known chefs and help put a new spin on some of their best dishes.
Henderson is the former executive chef at the Bellagio Hotel and has appeared in his own Food Network television show.
The episode of "Flip My Food" airs on FOX 8 Friday at 10:30 a.m.
