The New Orleans Fire Department introduced a new member on Friday.

Her name is Dakota. She will assist the New Orleans Fire Department with arson cases.

Dakota is a Labrador retriever. She and her handler, Captain Michael Ebbs, recently completed a five-week Canine-Accelerant Detection School.

Ebbs and Dakota showcased their skill on an obstacle course Friday morning. The pair demonstrated the dog's ability to discover evidence in relation to arson cases.
