The promised late June cold front pushed into our area today with some periods of very heavy rain and a few isolated strong storms. The rain interrupted a few outdoor events, but it did help cool down the area. Many locations that had made it into the low 90s and 80s dropped into the 70s during the storms and settled in the middle 80s.
The front will continue to sink south towards the coast. Rain showers will linger into the evening with the front as a focus. It should make it all the way to the coast before stalling. Sunday we will end up with slightly drier conditions north and scattered storms continuing south. Temperatures should start out in the 70s and top out in the upper 80s.
