JT Curtis to enter National High School Hall of Fame

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

He's led John Curtis Christian School to a Louisiana-best 26 high school state football championships, and now Coach JT Curtis will be inducted into the National High School Hall of Fame.

Curtis has registered 540 career victories in 46 seasons with the Patriots. He's won 90 percent of his games, with many players moving on to play collegiately at major programs. The 68-year old Curtis also won a national championship back in 2012.

"I certainly want to thank all those coaches and all those players who certainly have been an integral part of what we have done at John Curtis Christian School," Curtis said. "Without those, none of this would be possible. And unfortunately, one of us gets to sit up here, but each one of them was part of that building block."

Curtis added, "The wins and losses are really not relevant, to be honest with you. What's relevant is that we make the effort every day to be the best that we can be and make the effort every day to make them the best people they can be. That's what motivates me."
