NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) -

Saints linebacker David Hawthorne comes in at number 18 on our countdown.

Hawthorne has big shoes to fill this season. He replaces Curtis Lofton, who was cut at the middle linebacker spot and will be counted on to match both Lofton's production and knowledge of the defense.

Lofton called the defensive plays for three seasons and led the team in tackles in each of those years. Hawthorne was second on the team with 83 tackles. He was also third on the team with three sacks and even added an interception in 2014.

With a defense built to be stronger along the front end and the back end, it'll be up to Hawthorne to hold things together, from the middle.

As Anthony Davis has stated multiple times, legacies are built with postseason success. Not just defeating the 3rd-seed Trail Blazers, but sweeping them in a series that they dominated from start to finish. Well, it doesn't get much better than that. "I just try to go out every game and just play to the best of my ability, to go out there and help the team win. I'm trying to build a legacy here in New Orleans, and let people know that we're for real," said Anthony Da
