"Jawara was admired by faculty and peers alike. It is with a shared sense of shock and sadness that the St. Augustine High School Family expresses our utmost sympathy over the meaningless act of violence that resulted in the devastating loss of our bright, rising senior.
"Our guidance counselors, as well as other support staff are on campus and available to meet with students and faculty, and will continue to offer support as needed. We encourage everyone in our community to check in with friends and classmates if they seem to be in need.
