GRAND ISLE, LA (WVUE) -

A new lawsuit accuses two Grand Isle officials of hampering a child molestation investigation in 2010.

Plaintiff Jane Doe filed the suit Friday in District Court in Jefferson Parish against Mayor David Camardelle, Police Chief Euris Dubois, Jerry Dantin and the City of Grand Isle.

Dantin is the boyfriend of the mayor's mother.

The suit claims that Dantin molested her 6-year-old son and Grand Isle police botched the investigation.

The plaintiff seeks both actual and punitive damages.
