NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The NOPD is investigating a fatal shooting that claimed the life of a 34-year-old man Thursday.
The shooting occurred around 5 p.m. in the 3900 block of Hollygrove Street.
Officers were called out to investigate a call of a man down in front of a home. When officers arrived, they found the unresponsive victim with multiple gunshot wounds to the body. He died on the scene.
The investigation is ongoing, and detectives are working to determine a motive in the incident. Homicide Detective Rayell Johnson is in charge of the investigation and can be contacted at (504) 658-5300.
The coroner's office will release the identity of the victim once the family is notified.
