NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A 22-year-old construction worker died at the hospital just hours after a shooting in Mid-City.
The man was working on a house when the shooting occurred, according to the New Orleans Police Department. The incident happened around 4 p.m. Thursday in the 600 block of N. Salcedo Street.
The 22-year-old man was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital where he later died from his injuries.
The victim's name has not been released. Officers have not released any suspect information at this time.
The shoot was one of numerous shooting in New Orleans on Thursday evening. In total, five shootings in five hours claimed the lives of three men. Two others were injured.
