Police investigate Uptown attempted armed robbery

NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans Police need help identifying a teen wanted for an Uptown attempted robbery.

The suspect is described as a black male, 13-14 years old, 5'10" tall and weighing about 160 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a light colored shirt and basketball shorts.

According to police, the suspect walked up to a 29-year-old man at the intersection of Napoleon Avenue and Freret Street and attempted to rob the victim.

The victim refused to give the suspect his money and kept walking.

The suspect then pulled out a black and chrome handgun.

The victim again refused to give the suspect money and the gunman fled on foot.
