NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - An upper disturbance as helped trigger quite a bit of rainfall and several severe storms prompting warnings today both north and south of the lake. Tonight things settle down as the storms move out allowing skies to partially clear.
As the upper feature lifts northeast away from the area, high pressure will build in bringing much lower rain chances 20-30% through most of next week. With fewer showers and clouds, temps will get hotter in the 90-95 degree range. The tropics remain quiet so far for the start of July.
