WASHINGTON PARISH, LA (WVUE) - Louisiana State troopers are investigating a motorcycle crash in Washington Parish that claimed the life of a Lacombe man. The incident occurred Sunday, just after 1:30 p.m. on Highway 62 in Pine. The man has been identified as 33-year-old Brian Winslow.
According to police, Winslow was traveling north on LA 62 on a motorcycle. For unknown reasons, Winslow failed to make a left hand curve and drove off the roadway to the right. Winslow then struck a mailbox and was ejected from the bike.
He was brought to North Oaks hospital in Hammond, via helicopter. Winslow died from his injuries, just after 6 p.m. Investigators do not believe that Winslow was impaired. Police say that Winslow was wearing a U.S. Department of Transportation approved helmet at the time of the crash.
