Three Louisiana men involved in fatal New Mexico car crash

LUNA COUNTY, NM (WVUE) -

Three Louisiana men were involved in a fatal car crash in New Mexico.

According to New Mexico Department of Public Safety, 26-year-old Charles Preece, 23-year-old Chance Rebardi and 31-year-old Robert Toups were driving on the interstate in Luna County New Mexico when they struck a guardrail and their vehicle flipped over.

The driver of the vehicle, Preece, and Rebardi are both from Berwick, La. The vehicle's second passenger, Toups, is from Morgan City, La.

Rebardi died at the scene of the crash, but Preece and Toups both survived and were taken to a Mimbres Memorial Hospital.

Police said none of the men were wearing seat belts during the crash. The crash is still under investigation.
