Yesterday's storms left behind a stable atmosphere that saw only a couple of storms develop during daytime heating. Rain chances all week should be way below the typical 30-40%, with some days seeing no rain at all.
That should result in the hottest temps of the summer so far with heat index topping 105 most every afternoon. The usual summer heat precautions should be taken if you are doing any outside activities.
The tropics remain dead as a deep layer of African dust covers much of the Atlantic and a strengthening El Nino keeps a high wind shear around that could last most of this summer.
