NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - An upper high to our east has kept us mostly dry the last several days, and that trend looks to continue through the rest of the week and weekend.
Models had been hinting at a weak upper feature coming in from the west under the high, helping to trigger a few more showers possibly Friday.
Rain coverage would only increase to about 30 percent compared to less than 20 percent.
As the high centers over the area Saturday, highs could reach the mid and upper 90s!
The high slides to the west Sunday and a few upper waves could help trigger a slightly better chance for some afternoon showers next week, along with daytime heating.
