NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - New Orleans police have arrested a man wanted for the stabbing of another man in New Orleans East. Michael Isbell, 52, was taken into custody, Monday. The incident occurred Monday around 3:30 a.m. in the 4700 block of Rosalia Drive.
Police say that Isbell and the victim were arguing before the altercation turned physical. Isbell pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim in the chest before running away. The victim was brought to a local hospital where he is receiving treatment for his injuries.
Detectives spoke with witnesses who identified Isbell as the suspect in the case. Detectives later arrested Isbell near the scene of the crime. Isbell was booked with one count of attempted second degree murder.
