Franklin: Hot, dry weather to persist through the weekend

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The record high at the airport on July 14 is 99 degrees.

We'll remain below that, but not by much. Monday was the second day in a row where temperatures hit 95 degrees, and we'll likely do the same through Friday.

The upper high remains in control, and until that shifts far enough away or breaks down, we can expect hot temperatures and not much rain.

The pattern we're under looks to remain in place through the coming weekend.
