NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A 24 year old man was robbed in the French Quarter early Thursday morning by a man who threatened him at knife-point. According to the New Orleans Police Department, the victim was walking down Bourbon Street near St. Ann around 4:30 a.m. when he was approached by another man.
Police say the two struck up a conversation and began walking, They both reportedly turned off on a side street and stopped and sat on a porch. Once there, police say the suspect put a knife up against the man's rib cage and demanded money.
The victim handed over his cash and jewelry. The suspect fled on foot and remains wanted by police. The NOPD describes him a black male, 5'10" tall with a thin build and a stubbly goatee. Police also say he ha a tattoo on his right forearm and was wearing a blue plaid collard shirt with blue jeans.
The victim was not injured in the incident.
