NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Temperatures made it into the 90s for most of us once again today. Factor in dew points in the 70s, and it feels more like triple digits in many locations.
All that humidity keeps sweat from evaporating and prevents our natural cooling process from working. Make sure to stay hydrated with plenty of water and take refuge from the heat when you can.
There's no real break in the next couple of days as rain is really our main relief this time of year and we are not seeing much in the forecast. High pressure remains in control, and sinking air makes it more difficult for showers to develop.
It looks like we will be waiting until the beginning of next week before the high is weak enough for sea breeze showers to break through and give us a bit of a break.
