After a few storms managed to break through for late in the day Friday, we did manage to get some isolated relief from the hot weather.
High pressure remains in control for the weekend giving us very little reason to believe we will see much more activity. The upper high was a bit more west allowing us to remain on the eastern edge and get in a few more showers.
Saturday it does not look like we will see much more than isolated activity once again. Without the rain expect heat to soar into the middle 90s once again.
The Mississippi Gulf Coast goes under a heat advisory with the expectation that heat indices will rise above 105 for several hours through the afternoon.
There is more hope for closer to average rainfall as we end the weekend and start next week.
