NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - The New Orleans Police Department is asking for the public's help to identify an unknown black male, who is wanted in connection with stealing a wallet from the Shell Gas Station on 9232 Chef Menteur Highway.

The alleged theft happened on Sunday, June 29, 2015. According to police, the victim left her wallet on the counter top to make a purchase around 9:00 p.m. Seconds later, the victim told police she reached for her wallet, and it was missing.

The wallet contained the victim's credit cards, driver's license and over $500 in cash. Surveillance video captured the unidentified man making purchases using the victim's stolen credit cards. If you have any information that could help police, call Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.
