Franklin: Typical July heat

Franklin: Typical July heat

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - Our weather has been boring... and boring is very, very good in the summer!

That means we're not dealing with tropical development. Models are indicating the possible formation of a system off the east coast of Florida in the Atlantic early next week, but that would not affect us.

The big upper high which dominated our weather last week looks to strengthen and keep us mostly dry through the forecast period of the next 7 days.

We might see a slight increase in rain chances for the weekend, but only around 20 percent.

Try to keep cool. Mid-September cold fronts are only about 8-9 weeks away.
