Coroner IDs man shot to death Thursday in Central City

NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) -

The Orleans coroner has identified a man who was fatally shot Thursday morning in Central City.

The incident happened around 6:30 a.m. in the 3200 block of Second Street near S. Prieur Street.

The victim, identified as 20-year-old Paul Johnson, was found shot multiple times on the steps of a nearby home. He was taken to the hospital, where he later died. 

The investigation is ongoing and detectives are investigating to determine a motive and suspect(s) in the incident.
