NEW ORLEANS (WVUE) - A couple of days earlier in the week, we managed to get a few showers to move through early enough to help with temperatures, but the dry weather is back.
High pressure will keep things dry through most of the weekend. Without the rain and clouds we can expect to see temperatures soar again. Most locations are seeing temperatures bounce back up into the mid-90s each day with only the slim possibility of an isolated storm forming.
Take full precautions against heat illness if you plan to be outdoors drinking plenty of water and sports drinks, remember soda and alcohol can dehydrate you. Wear light colored clothing and remain in the shade as much as possible. Air conditioning is our friend.
