NEW ORLEANS, LA (WVUE) - Several disturbances continue to circulate around high pressure and give us several chances to get into that flow with just a minor fluctuation around our dominating high. Most heavy storms had been effecting areas to our east. While we are not seeing the coverage from Saturday, a few locations are getting in on enough shower activity to help break the heat.
There is still quite a bit of oppressive heat to deal with across the area. Expect similar rain chances on Sunday to what we saw Saturday as the high slides back east drying us out again for the start of the week. We will get a better opportunity to get into some typical summer rain coverage by the end of next week.
