RACELAND, LA (WVUE) - A Thibodaux man was arrested July 23 after deputies found him disoriented in his car with a variety of narcotics, according to Lafourche Parish Sheriff Craig Webre.
Dillon Fields, 23, was found along LA Highway 1 in Raceland just before 7:30 p.m.
When they arrived, deputies found a bag containing what they suspected was cocaine on the front seat, Webre said. Deputies found also several small bags of what field tests confirmed to be cocaine and heroin. Additionally, deputies found alprazolam and hydrocodone pills, as well as drug paraphernalia.
In all, deputies seized about 2 grams of heroin, approximately 0.3 grams of cocaine, approximately 1.4 grams of cocaine and heroin mixed, more than 9.25 doses of alprazolam and one hydrocodone pill.
Fields was arrested and taken to the Lafourche Parish Detention Center, where he was booked with possession with the intent to distribute heroin, cocaine and alprazolam, as well as possession of hydrocodone and drug paraphernalia.
He was released Sunday afternoon after posting $33,000 bond as had been set by Judge John E. Leblanc.
